First Annual Meeting with E. Bunny

Our neighborhood had an Easter Party complete with the Easter Bunny, egg hunt, games, and rides on the Boogie Woogie Choo Choo. Mostly we just hung out with the Easter Bunny and chatted with neighbors. The Easter Bunny and Riley got along great...kind of like meeting a giant stuffed animal! She was fascinated with his whiskers and even let him hold her. Next year will start the real test- we'll see.

She Eats!

Exciting times at the Talac house today...Riley started solids! We started a little later than we intended and the timing wasn't optimal. As the saying goes, "timing is everything", and we didn't time it exactly right because she was tired. Nevertheless, she got her first tastes and it all ended kind of messy... as expected. We started with rice cereal, and will eventually add in some other foods in a week or so. We will keep the updates coming!

Riley Can Read!

Ok...maybe she can't read just yet...maybe another week or 2! Riley and Daddy have had 5 weeks of story time at the library and this is their last class together. They had a great time and Kim was invited to attend the last class. We really learned a lot from the instructor about developing early childhood literacy.

Can't Belive It...6 months!

Whoever decided "time flies when you are having fun" sure knew what they were talking about! Riley is 6 months old and we don't know where the time went. We are having a great time with her, and she is changing so fast!

Storytime with Daddy!

Our local library is hosting a 5 week father - baby storytime for fathers and babies under the age of one. Gary jumped at the chance, and it is actually put on by a man with his PhD as a children's librarian (who knew?). He gave the Dads some pointers in helping babies learn and improve future literacy, and they sang songs, etc. Gary and Riley had a great time and are looking forward to next week. Kim is looking forward to seeing what they learn as well!
